In a world where entrepreneurship is often reduced to numbers and quarterly projections, Juan David Cadavid Ospina stands out with a refreshing approach: building companies that serve not just markets, but humanity.
From an early age, Ospina knew he was destined to be a builder—not just of businesses, but of opportunities. With a degree in International Business, with a focus on marketing and finance, he chose to dedicate his professional internship not to climbing the corporate ladder, but to launching his own venture. That vision became Global Master Investment (GMI), a strategic consulting and equity participation firm that aims to evolve into a multinational holding company.
Today, Ospina leads a diverse portfolio that spans strategic consulting, music production, ornamental aquaculture, sustainable real estate, industrial recycling, green mining, and fluvial logistics. His companies include:
- Global Master Investment (Strategic Consulting)
- Live Music Records (Entertainment & Music)
- Sonora Fish S.A.S. (Ornamental Aquaculture)
- Hotel & Residences La Sonora (Sustainable Real Estate)
Each enterprise reflects a singular philosophy: business with soul, purpose, and impact.
“There are many great ideas in the world, but most lack structure, vision, and direction,” says Ospina. “I knew my mission was to build bridges between dreams and reality.”
His most ambitious project to date, Hotel & Residences La Sonora, currently in pre-launch, is located in the breathtaking Calima Lake region of Colombia. This sustainable luxury development is designed to revitalize local economies while promoting ecological harmony—fusing tourism, investment, and social impact.
But Juan David’s success didn’t come on the back of venture capital or inherited wealth. His entrepreneurial journey began from scratch.
“No investors. No safety net. Just a vision, faith, and relentless execution,” he recalls.
Overcoming the odds, Ospina built his businesses through rigorous study, strategic planning, and a loyal team aligned with his mission. Mentors and divine guidance played critical roles in helping him navigate industries traditionally guarded by insiders.
What makes his ecosystem unique is a consistent throughline: the integration of community, sustainability, and shared value creation. In his words:
“We’re not just here to compete. We’re here to transform.”
Whether it’s creating employment in rural areas, connecting underrepresented musical talent with real opportunities, or building new educational programs for future entrepreneurs, Ospina is reimagining what it means to be a business leader in the 21st century.
His plans for 2025 include:
- Consolidating his holding company with a presence on three continents
- Launching green mining projects
- Scaling his ornamental fish exports
- Finalizing development of Hotel La Sonora
- Launching a purpose-driven educational program for aspiring entrepreneurs
At the heart of his efforts is a deep spiritual commitment.
“My ultimate goal is to help humanity. I believe in building businesses that allow people to reconnect with their purpose—and with their Creator.”
Juan David credits his late father for igniting his ambition, his mother for instilling discipline, and his sister and uncle (now business partner) for their unwavering belief in his vision. His ventures, although rooted in rigorous strategy, are equally guided by gratitude, faith, and a drive to serve.
As he looks to the future, Juan David isn’t just building companies—he’s cultivating a movement.
“We are a community of leaders,” he says. “And we’re just getting started.”
